"Garman - Map Makeover Update is here!"

The new update named ‘Garman – Map Makeover’ (after the American soldier Harold A. Garman[en.wikipedia.org]) is here! Here you can get a quick overview of all the new features we’ve added for you!



New Features
Spawn Protection on all Assault Maps
We’ve gone through all the Assault maps and added spawn protection for both infantry and vehicles. Read more in the Map Makeover Coming With the Garman Update post.

Updated Town Map
This already very popular map has been improved further with the updated gamemode and especially the Capture Zones E4, A3 & A2 are a lot more fun now.

Updated Factory Map

The gameplay flow has been rearranged to make areas less open for tankshelling, to ease the bottlenecks on the A-line and more cover has been added. Take a look at the Factory News post for pictures and details.


Updated Airfield Map
Here the central area has been completely reworked and the overall terrain has been improved to help block some line of sights in the open terrain.
The objectives (E-bunker especially) has been improved and are a lot more fun to fight over now. Take a look at the Airfield News post for pictures and details.

Updated Forward Airfield Map
The Forward Airfield has mainly seen changes around the Objectives (Stonebridge, Church) and improved Deploy Areas at the beginning of lines prevent being pinned down. Take a look at the Forward Airfield News post for pictures and details.

Updated Mountain Town Map
This map has seen the mos changes of all. More mountain, more town, more fun and less stalemates. Each attack line has a more specific identity and the map in general plays a lot better. Take a look at the Mountain Town News post for pictures and details.


Updated Encounter and Skirmish maps
The Depot Encounter map and the Village Skirmish, Hill Skirmish and Forest Skirmish maps has been updated, making capture zones more consistent and the gameplay more fun!

Weather and color improvements
The different weather settings for the maps has all been tweaked and updated to bring more vivid colors and less haze to the game and to bring the different graphics settings more in line visually.

New Amphibious QMC-4 for the American faction
The Americans can now cross rivers in their brand new QMC-4 1/4 Ton Amphibious cars. Read more about how to get your hands on one and how it can be personalized in this American Amphibious Vehicle news post.


New Amphibious typ 166 Schwimmwagen for the German faction
A much requested German vehicle also drives to shore with the Garman update. The Typ 166 Schwimmwagen is here.



Amphibious Light tank and car for the Soviet faction
Not to be left behind in deep water, the Soviet army brings TWO amphibious vehicles to battle! Read more about the T-38 light tank AND the QMC-4 (lend lease) here.

Other Changes
Here is a list of some additional features in the Furness update.
Added new vehicle water physics system (sinking, engine disabled and friction) for all vehicles
Added new weapon finished for Maschinengewehr 34, Maschinengewehr 42, M1918 Automatic Rifle, M1919 MG, Degtyarev DP28 & SVT-40
Drag/drop added for weapons, vehicles, and skins in the UI
The equipment point status is now shown in each weapon equipped, with the weapon’s individual influence highlighted in yellow

Mobile Command
Mobile Command on Android and iOS runs on a separate update track and has been updated to support the newly added Garman update.
